"I believe that there is no real self. We unconsciously construct and build our own
idea of the self. The alternative to understanding our existence is to understand ourselves as persons, as beings who exist in conversation with the rest of the world and whose identity is constructed by the collective narrative in which we are dramatis personae. The person you want to be can be a source of play and fun and conversely play can be a generator of your constructed personae. By creating my playground, with some minor rules, I became an actor in my own one-person play. I discovered that this identity building is fluid and influenced by lifelong impressions . By creating I became aware of my queer personality in all its meanings. This constructed identity doesn't feel strange anymore. Everything is constructed, the world around us and the people who populate it with their own constructed identities. "Life is theatre. We are all actors in it."
